I've been thinking about how to make a change in my life and how to decide on it.. Today was the day of my epiphany - all I have to do is check out my feelings (yaaaay).. if you're interested in what is the catch, read on ...
First step for change is to decide what you want in life, like really sit on bed or favourite chair and just don't think about it too much. Write down on a piece of paper whatever comes to your mind about the topic you struggle with.
Having a problem figuring out what the heck you want? Than first write down what you don't want.. opposites are what you want :) sounds easy, right? IT IS... (I know the struggle..I've been complicating stuff that are so simple for nothing.. just to postpone the good things :)
when you do that - so what you really want is on a piece of paper - than stick it on your wall and watch it every day :D of course you can do that for a daily reminder but the real fun has just started...
Step two is pay attention to your feelings.
At the beginning you may not be sure which way to go and who to listen, especially when you may be listening others your whole life.. so go inside yourself.. feel the feeling you get when someone asks you to do something or you get some new opportunities and don't know which way to go..
Rather than thinking what could be best for you (with your beautiful mind), just feel it.. and if you get negative emotion than you know it's not right for you.. frustration, anger, any unhealthy feeling really, it's just an alert for you to calm down and try any other solution.
So negative emotions are not bad, we just label them as not good (and normally numb them any way possible)...
I found out that every time I'm in a hurry, I'll spil something very sticky or run into the chair with my little finger -ouch- and curse why that happened to me? It is just an alert.. to calm down, to live in a moment, in now and anything that waits for me can wait a moment more..
just as your negative feelings are an alert.. TO LISTEN to yourself, your real self - not mind (thinking process in your brain) which might be "compromised" by suggestions of others, by must/should/would/have to/may and so on from any authority in your life.. only YOU know what is the best for you.. your beautiful self.. that waits in silence for you to hear it and most importantly feel it <3
